Heinrich Bloodstock Purchase Top Southern Cross Seller
Gold Coast, January 11 – Southern Cross Breeders yearlings found favour with a wide range of buyers at the 2010 Magic Millions Yearling Sale with Military Rose’s trainer Gillian Heinrich purchasing our top seller, a Stratum filly
(pictured below) from Stage Beauty that fetched $220,000.
Leading syndicator Star Thoroughbreds were also amongst the purchasers paying $180,000 for a colt by Holy Roman Emperor (IRE) from Nellie de Air and $160,000 for the Holy Roman Emperor (IRE) half-brother to smart Sydney winner Kinnersely, which they purchased from our Magic Millions draft in 2008.
In total, Southern Cross Breeders sold 17 horses for $1,852,500 at an average $108,971, plus a further seven horses during Session Five for an aggregate of $299,500.
We wish all purchasers the very best of luck with their new acquisitions and thank them for their support.
